Natural Remedies for Calm

Hi again, in continuation with what i mentioned in yesterday's post, here are a few drinks that naturally calm you.

Kacchi haldi and black pepper- Boil a cup of drinking water with raw turmeric (grate or grind-approximately quarter teaspoon ) along with the same quantity of home ground black pepper. Things to keep in mind- the curcumin in turmeric is an antioxidant and a blood thinner. People with blood disorders must consult a physician before consuming.

Blue Pea flower Tea- Also known as Aprajita. Boil a cup of water with a few flowers, strain and enjoy with a squeeze of lemon. Enjoy the change in colour from the natural blue to purple. Other flowers that have calming properties are Chamomile and Jasmine.

People having a predisposition to anxiety must avoid caffeinated drinks including colas. Those with panic disorders should avoid sugar, sodas, basically anything with fizz.

Acupuncture helps with both anxiety and depression.

Deep Breathing during Yoga/Pilates relieve symptoms considerably.

Medication must be taken under the supervision of a qualified doctor.

Personally, homeopathy helped me more than allopathy.
